My Christmas Wish For You

EZ Self Help - Issue #008 - December, 2008

Here is my Christmas wish for you!

If I could give you one gift, and only one, this is the one I choose.

To begin, I need to know what you really want this year for Xmas. Is it more money, a new or better job, improved relationships, good health?

Quiet your mind for a minute and think about this: “If I could grant you only one Christmas wish, which would you choose?”

Right now the media is constantly reminding us of the global economic turmoil. Fear and worry are at the forefront of most thoughts, so it is only natural most are concerned about their financial future.

Chances are better than good you chose something like more money, job security, a new car or house, increased income and so on.

Now ask your self why you would make this choice. Dig deep until you come up the root cause for this desire.

Behind every want and desire you can imagine, there is truly only one driving force – the human quest for happiness.

Any dreams of new homes or cars, financial security or even winning the lottery all stem from our desire to be happy. In the Western world, we have been conditioned to believe that these material things will ultimately lead to happiness.

But if this is true, then why is it so many of the so-called "successful" people are not experiencing true joy and happiness in life? What’s stopping them - and you - from being happy?

Here are some of the more valid reasons:

  1. Focusing on the accumulation of material gains, incorrectly believing this is the source of happiness.
  2. Focusing on fear and worry about the world economy and/or the potential for personal poverty.
  3. Self-sabotage resulting from non-conscious programming which you have never taken the time to eliminate.

What are you willing to do to be happy?

Don't you think - feel - believe - your time would be better spent learning how to change the programming in your mind to be free of emotional turmoil so you can experience happiness?

My Christmas wish for you - May you awaken with the knowledge and understanding that you and only you are responsible for your happiness.

Happiness does not come from any material possessions you accumulate. Achieving goals you set in life are not the prize. It is the journey toward these goals that give us life.

Oh sure, having money is better than not having it, but when you can be happy without, then and only then can you be happy with success.

If I had it within me to grant any Christmas wish you desire, then helping you to understand, accept and recover the happiness inside of you is undoubtedly the most precious gift I can offer.

From this gift, all other goals become possible.

All the other stuff - cars, elegant homes, wealth - are only the finer things in life you can use to enhance your enjoyment; but not your happiness.

Let go of all that is not supporting or moving you in the direction of happiness.

So, with this in mind, I wish you the happiest and best Holiday Season you have ever had the pleasure to experience.

May you be fortunate enough to realize that happiness is yours for the taking right now.

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

Notable Quote

"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards. They try to have things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so that they will be happier.

The way it actually works is in reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you really want"
